Award-winner David Holt is an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist,
storyteller, historian, and television host.
A master of clawhammer banjo, David has been collecting
and performing the songs and stories of the Blue
Ridge Mountains for over thirty years. In addition
to making numerous critically-acclaimed recordings,
David has hosted such popular programs as TNN’s
Fire on the Mountain and American Music Shop.
Currently, David hosts PBS’ Folkways and Public
Radio’s Riverwalk, as well as maintaining a busy
concert schedule.
